Who else was excited to hear the news this week of plans to build a Wet’n’Wild water park in western Sydney?

Village Roadshow announced plans to start constructing the $80 million water park by next year, with hopes to have it ready for operation in 2013. The park will be located at a site along Reservoir Rd in Prospect.

The new Wet’n’Wild Sydney could mean exciting things for Western Sydney as it will help to boost tourism in the local area and it will create plenty of new jobs to help boost our local economy. Plus we’ll have a world class theme park on our doorstep!

This will be the first big theme park development western Sydney has had since Australia's Wonderland at Eastern Creek folded in 2004, however Wet’n’Wild Sydney is expected to attract more visitors as it will be the biggest water theme park in Australia.
