Now that we’re in the New Year it’s time to get organised and starting ticking off those New Year resolutions one by one.
One way to help us get ahead and stay motivated is by making sure we are making the most of our time.
No matter our jobs or our lifestyle, time management can be tricky to master, but I find that there are a few simple guidelines that can help you make the most of your time.
Tip #1 – Make a start! No matter what it is you need to do, or how long you think it will take, simply making a start will help you get the job done sooner!
Tip #2 – Write a list of everything that needs doing, and categorise it from most important to least important. Some people like to write themselves a list of tasks to keep to everyday, as this helps to make sure they all get done.
Tip #3 – Stop trying to be everywhere at once. Sometimes we miss appointments or can’t make certain events, but there’s only one of you so don’t take on more than you can handle.
Tip #4 – Give yourself an earlier deadline for your tasks. This may sound tricky, but if you finish tasks early, you won’t be stressed out at the last minute and you will have extra time in case your task takes longer than expected.
Tip #5 – Lastly, clear out the clutter in your home, especially places you intend on working like your kitchen or desk. You will feel much better if everything is neat and orderly and it will help you get your tasks done quicker!
Good luck staying organised this year!
