Something for Casula’s Rugby League Fans

Footy fans in Casula may want to stop into the Casula Powerhouse at the end of this month to revel in some great football memorabilia.
 
There will be an exhibition at the Casula Powerhouse named “No. 1 Fan” from February 25th where banners, imagery and fan mementos will be put on display from the past games of the nine Sydney-based NRL clubs including Penrith Panthers, Parramatta Eels, South Sydney Rabbitohs, St George Dragons, Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters, Cronulla Sharks, West Tigers and Manly Sea Eagles.
 
The exhibition will be a must see for any rugby league supporters out there, here are some of the highlights worth seeing:
 
  • Simply the Best’ exhibition – displaying artefacts, imagery, apparel and footage from the top ten ‘moments’ of the ‘80’s selected by an expert panel lead by Ian Heads.
  • See video highlights showcasing the colour, fashion and despair from the 2010 NRL season and Grand Finals from 1980 – 1989.
  • Participate in the ‘Super boots’ workshop and paint original artworks on 1st Grade Player boots that will be auctioned.
  • Engage in discussion with some of the games biggest names in the ‘Fan Forum’.
  • Feel the impact and the adrenalin from the ‘Biggest Hits’ of the last 30 years.
  • Junior Rugby League clubs exhibition featuring footage of kids interviewing their favourite NRL stars.
  • Installation artwork from contemporary Australian artist Adam Hill using fanfare and memorabilia donated by South Sydney supporter Michelle Booth in 'Fanatical Fan'.
