Liverpool’s Household Clean Up Service

Last Sunday was Clean Up Australia Day and local residents from all over Liverpool got involved in helping to clean up our neighbourhoods.

But now that we’ve cleaned our parks and bushland, it’s time to start thinking about cleaning our homes too!

If you live in the Liverpool City Council region then you may not be aware that your household is eligible for two free clean up services per calendar year.

There are two types of free collections that local residents can take advantage of to help clear away household waste – metal and whitegoods collection or general clean up waste collection.

What basically happens is you leave things like old furniture and other household scraps outside on your front lawn, and the Council will arrange to pick up your household waste for you at a pre-arranged time.

So if you’ve been thinking about cleaning out your house, and you haven’t taken advantage of the Council’s clean up services yet, then it is definitely worth looking into.
