Something may finally be getting done for the residents of Casula who live close to the train line.

As many in the community know, noise pollution has been an issue for homes near the train line for some time now, and homeowners have been trying to get somebody to listen to them and fix the problem.

Well somebody may finally have got their message.

RailCorp collected data on noise levels for those who live at Casula Links Estate and they agree that there is excessive noise in the area. There are more details about the study at http://streetcorner.com.au/news/showPost.cfm?bid=20769&mycomm=SW.

So now that RailCorp have acknowledged the noise issue, what next?

At the moment RailCorp are investigating options to help keep the noise levels down for Casula homes near the train line. Noise barriers could be one solution, or installing noise treatments at individual dwellings could be another option.

If you’re after more information about the investigations and options for controlling noise along the Casula rail lines then you can attend community information sessions that will be arranged over the coming weeks or call 9223 9054 or email info@kjassoc.com.au.
