Now that winter is (almost) here I’m sure that many of us have started changing our household routines to accommodate the cooler weather. Instead of reaching for the fan switch we’re starting to turn on the heaters and instead of spending time outdoors we’re probably curled up in front of the telly!

But what other things can you do around your Casula real estate to prepare it and yourself for the cold?

  • Make it Warm Outdoors – You don’t need to stay couped up inside just because it’s winter. You can make it warmer outside by investing in outdoor heating. A patio heater, tabletop heater or chiminea are all options that you might consider for keeping you and family and friends warm outside.
  • Don’t Neglect Your Pool – Just because you don’t use your pool as much in winter, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still take care of it. Make sure you check your pool’s chlorine levels to ensure that the pH level is between 7.4 and 7.6. Also make sure your pool is kept clean and cover your pool up if you want to keep it free from leaves and debris. If you want to continue using your pool in winter then you might want to consider heating it!
  • Don’t Leave the Car Outside – Cold winter winds and morning dew can be bad news for your car, so if you want to protect it, make room for your car in your garage.
  • Insulate to keep your Casula real estate warm – If you want to save money on your heating bill then insulation is a great investment. You can cut your heating costs by up to 30 percent with insulation! Insulation is also great for keeping houses cool in warmer months and it can help block out outside noise too!
  • Keep Warm By the Fire – Almost any home can be fitted with a fire place and they create a much cosier ambiance than a heater. So if you want to keep your Casula real estate nice and warm this winter then investigate the different fireplace options available.
  • Keep the heat in the house – A lot of heat loss in houses is caused by gaps around doors and windows, so make sure you check for any gaps and seal them up if need be.
Do you have any more tips to help everyone keep their homes warm and cosy this winter?
