Could Casula Be Ikea’s Next Destination?

The Liverpool Leader has just announced that the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and the Liverpool City Council are in talks with IKEA to hopefully bring their furniture mega-store to Casula!

As many locals are aware, a new IKEA furniture store has just opened up about 25 minutes away in Tempe, and many locals also travel to the one located in Homebush, but it would be great to have an IKEA located right here in Casula.

If an IKEA store does get the go-ahead in Casula it will hopefully be part of a few new retail developments that are set to put Liverpool’s shopping on the map.

The discount superstore Costco is set to open a store at Casula’s Crossroads Homemaker Centre and there is also word that factory outlet shopping will return to the former Designer Outlets site at Warwick Farm.

I’m sure locals would love having all of these new shopping options available right here on our door step, and having these new retail developments would also certainly help attract shoppers to Liverpool.

What do Casula residents think about the news? Do you want an IKEA store in town?
