Fresh Food Initiative To Help Liverpool’s Low Income Earners

I just heard of a great new initiative that should help ease some of the financial burden on low income households in Liverpool.

Anglicare Liverpool have just started up Fresh Food Tuesdays, where pensioners and healthcare card holders can get a bag full of fruit and vegetables for just a gold coin.

All you have to do is present your pension or healthcare card to the staff at Anglicare on a Tuesday and they will load fruit and vegetables into a plastic bag for you in exchange for a gold coin.

While Anglicare will do its best to help give residents the fruit and vegetables of their choice, there are no guarantees that any particular item will be available.

If you think you might like to take advantage of the offer then visit Anglicare Liverpool on a Tuesday at 9 Northumberland Street, Liverpool, from 10am-11am. It’s probably best to get there early though so that you can get first dibs on the available fruit and vegetable produce, otherwise it may sell out.
