Creating a Garden When You Don’t Have a Backyard

A lot of people living in the Liverpool region live in units and townhouses, where they don’t have the space outside to grow a lush, green garden.

But, even with limited room, you can still create a garden in your home. The trick is to bring the outdoors in, and this can be done easily with the addition of pot plants.

Placing pot plants around your home requires little maintenance. All you need to do is water them and make sure that you put a base under the pot to prevent water marks from staining the floor. It’s also a good idea to choose pot plants that don’t require a lot of sunshine, unless you plan on placing them underneath a sunny window.

If you are a little design savvy, you may even be able to make a feature garden wall, also known as a vertical wall. These are created by stacking plant beds above each other. Vertical gardens can be expensive to install, but an increasing number of DIY kits are becoming available as vertical gardens become more popular.

Another idea is to get planter boxes. These can look great in kitchens and can even be used to help add a bit of spice to your cooking.

Indoor garden plants need to be looked after just as any outdoor garden plant does, so make sure you care for them properly and talk to the experts at your local garden nursery to make sure that you are choosing the most appropriate plants for your home.
