The bulk buying industry seems set to continue expanding in Australia. Having turned their first profit, Cosco’s parent company has afforded them a further $50 million towards another expansion, and Casula is the next location on their list! A $40 million Costco outlet at Casula has been approved and will include a 14,000m2 Beech Road wholesale and retail warehouse.
If you’re not familiar with the Cosco concept, according to their website Costco is a membership warehouse club and you need to buy a membership to visit and shop at Costco. Members pay a nominal annual fee to and in return are able to take advantage of shopping at wholesale prices for the highest quality products which are available exclusively to their members. Costco memberships are fully guaranteed; sign up for a membership and give them a try. If you are not satisfied, they will refund your membership fee in full
At Professionals Paradise Realty we’d love to know what you, the residents of Casula and Liverpool think of being the next venue for the US retail giant. Do you think this will have a negative impact on our Casula supermarkets, or simply create a more affordable option for people living on a tighter budget? We know that the majority of Cosco’s profit comes from membership sales. Will you be signing up for a $60 Gold Star Membership for your household?
