White Ribbon DayThe White Ribbon Foundation began in Australia 10 years ago in support of the eradicating violence against women. Promoting societal change, November 25 is an important day to change the attitudes of men and their treatment of women.

As part of the 10th anniversary proceedings, the Liverpool White Ribbon Day Committee is providing a day for the whole community to come together for an informative forum. This Friday the 22nd of November, join the committee for a number of speeches, a fantastic discussion panel, and a viewing of a video produced by a number of young people in the community. From 11am-1pm, light refreshments and lunch will be provided at the PCYC on the corner of Cartwright and Maxwell Avenue in Miller.

Throughout the day, you will also have the opportunity to give donations to the cause at a number of collection stalls in Liverpool including the ‘Liverpool White Ribbon Express’ at the Liverpool Train Station from 6am-10am.

Along with the Liverpool Catholic Club who has funded the event, and the support of the Liverpool City Council, the Professionals Paradise Realty team hopes you and the community will promote the cause by showing your support this Friday.

The forum is FREE for the public, and if you need any more information feel free to contact the Liverpool MRC, Jimmy Mtashar on (02) 9601-3788.
