school lunchHere’s one for Liverpool parents who have children heading back to school.  While you’ve no doubt got any new items of uniform your kids need, purchased them new shoes, contacted their books, and even fit in a playdate or two over the holidays, you may be dreading the beginning of school for a whole other reason… the ongoing dilemma of what to put in your child’s lunchbox.  Now I’m sure there are Liverpool parents who say, ‘this is what I’m making, so like it or lump it’, but I’m equally sure there are fussy Liverpool children who are more than happy to dump their non-preferred, lovingly wrapped sandos in the nearest school bin.  So to avoid this, we thought we’d share a few of our team’s fail-safe lunchbox ideas and tips we’ve picked up from other Liverpool parents.

Lunches:

  • Pizza squares
  • Veggie Burgers
  • Mini quiches
  • Sandwiches cut into various shapes
  • Pasties
  • Vegetable spring rolls
  • Rice paper rolls
  • Rissoles
  • Homemade sausage rolls

Snacks:

  • Carrot sticks
  • Celery sticks
  • Capsicum sticks
  • Rice cakes
  • Fruit kebabs
  • Chopped fruit
  • Homemade muffins
  • Popcorn
