Thanking Liverpool’s Volunteers

National Volunteer Week This week is National Volunteer Week and to help mark this special occasion we encourage everyone in Liverpool to take a moment to think about all of the people in our community who selflessly give up their time to help others.

Volunteers organisations help keep cities like Liverpool strong. Organisations like the the Lions Club, Australian Red Cross, St John’s Ambulance, SES crews and many more all help make up the backbone of Liverpool and we are truly lucky that they are available to assist us when we need them.

There are also plenty of individual volunteers out there that help make the lives of others a little easier. There are all sorts of people volunteering on a daily basis and doing much needed activities such as helping out at their local school, visiting the elderly, or providing food and blankets to the homeless. There has also been a tremendous amount of volunteer support in the area to help out our local farmers during these tough times.

The Liverpool community owes a lot to our local volunteers and we at Professionals Paradise Realty are truly thankful for all of the hard work that they have put in for us all.

The community always needs more volunteers however, and if you think you would like to dedicate your time to helping to build a stronger Liverpool, you can find information about volunteering in NSW at www.thecentreforvolunteering.com.au.

Volunteering can be hard work, but if you find a volunteering opportunity you enjoy it can be an extremely rewarding experience for you and for the people you are helping.

Do you know any local volunteers? Have you taken the opportunity to thank them this National Volunteer Week?
