Celebrating Book Week in Liverpool

Liverpool City LibraryNext week is Children’s Book Week in Liverpool and the community can get involved by heading to their local library to see what’s on offer.

There will be writing workshops, author talks and the announcement of the Writing Competition winners.

A few more details about what’s on are below:

Book Parade for Young People of all ages

Liverpool City Library Plaza, Saturday 16 August 11am-12pm

Dress as your favourite book week character. Prizes for ‘best dressed’.

Patricia Bernard workshop for school-aged children

Liverpool City Library, Wednesday 20 August, 3.30pm

Book Week performances for children

Casula Library Monday 18 August 3.30pm

Green Valley Library Tuesday 19 August 3.30pm

Moorebank Library Thursday 21 August 3.30pm

Liverpool City Library Friday 22 August 3.30pm

If you can’t make it to the Liverpool Library next week then you can still celebrate book week at home by pulling out your children’s favourite books and encouraging them to discover the joy of reading.
