Throughout this month Liverpool City Council has been undertaking the ‘Slow Down on Local Streets’ campaign, alongside the Road Transport Authority (RTA).
Have you noticed trailer-mounted speed cameras placed at random locations this month? This campaign is part of Council’s ongoing Road Safety Program and resulted from considerable community concern. I think this is a positive move to help put a halt to the many motorists that are still driving at speeds well in excess of the limits.
The campaign is fully supported and enforced by the Police and I believe is a good move for our community. So keep the speed down and look out for speed cameras!
