I’m sure that none of you have forgotten that this year is the Bicentenary Year of Liverpool, and while we have already been doing a lot to celebrate, there are still plenty of Liverpool Bicentenary celebrations to look forward to.
One of them is the Clive Graham Bicentenary Fun Run. The Fun Run takes place on September the 12th from Greenway Park in West Hoxton and it’s sure to be a fun community day out.
Next on the agenda is the Bicentenary Essay Competition for all the aspiring writers out there. All you need to do is write an essay featuring Liverpool’s history or culture from the past or present. The competition is open for all ages and closes on September the 30th.
After you’re done running and writing, it’s time for the Bicentenary Mayoral Ball which will be on Saturday the 6th November at the Liverpool Catholic Club.
The Bicentenary Mayoral Ball looks like it will be a big event, with a 3 course dinner, entertainment, fancy dress and even special guests.
All the Bicentenary events look like they will be a heap of fun, so get out there and start celebrating 200 years of our great community.
