If you are thinking about getting solar panels in your home than you may want to do so sooner rather than later.
Currently the NSW Government offers a Solar Bonus Scheme allowing NSW homeowners to receive 60 cents per kilowatt hour for any electricity that is produced from renewable energy sources (such as solar panels) and fed into the electricity grid.
However because the solar scheme has been so successful and so many people have taken it up, the NSW Government may need to scale back the amount offered by the scheme.
There have even been reports in the media that the State Government wants to close new applications for the scheme altogether.
So if you have been thinking about solar panels anyway then it is probably a good idea to do so now and take advantage of the current NSW Solar Bonus Scheme.
