Does size matter? – Beyond thinking about whether or not you will have enough bedrooms for everyone, also think about how much personal space everyone needs. Would you like separate living areas for the kids and adults? Do you need a workspace so you can work from home? It’s important that everyone in a household has enough space so they aren’t stepping on each other’s toes.
What about the budget? – Everyone wants a big, luxurious home but you need to consider your budget. Negotiate financing you can live with and then start looking at properties in your price range. There’s no point in pinning down the home of your dreams if you can’t afford it.
