A new free program has been launched in Liverpool to help children from the ages of 7-13 learn about fitness and health.
The Go4Fun program, will aim to teach young children about eating healthily, maintaining an ideal weight, self-confidence and keeping fit.
Games, activities and food education will help make up the program, which will run 20-sessions, 2 days a week for 10 weeks. The Go4Fun Program is being run by the South Western Sydney Local Health Network and NSW Health.
All of the sessions are held after school hours and they have been shown to help increase children’s activity.
Healthy eating and exercise habits are important from an early age, so if you think that your child could benefit from the Go4Fun program then you can call Ms Davis on 9780 2811 or visit www.healthykids.nsw.gov.au to find out more.
