Are you a part of a walking group in Casula? If so, then the Heart Foundation wants to hear from you!
The Heart Foundation is currently looking for walking groups to add to its network of community-based walking groups which currently consists of well-over 1000 groups.
There are many benefits that a walking group can provide to an individual. Walking for instance is good for improving mood and brain function, it can help with blood pressure and cardiovascular health and it can even ward off serious conditions such as obesity, diabetes and some cancers. If you walk as part of a group you also get the added benefit of socialising, not to mention that being part of a group can be a great motivator too.
There are all sorts of walking groups on the Walking Heart Foundation network, encompassing different levels of difficulty, different times and places and different walk durations.
If you’re interested in seeing what walking groups there are from all over Australia you can visit heartfoundation.org.au and if you lead or are part of a walking group in Casula, then remember to add your group to the walking network.
