At this time of year, many of us are thinking not only of our family and friends, but also of those who are less fortunate than us and could use a helping hand.
It will always be nice to give a gift to our friends and loved ones, but there is a good feeling that comes from knowing that you have helped somebody who is truly in need.
There are many charities, both locally and outside of our community who could use with extra support during the festive season, and a simple donation, gift or offer of time can all prove to be extremely helpful and will all be much appreciated.
If you’re not sure where to spread the goodwill this Christmas, then take a moment to think about the charities you would like to help out. St Vincent de Paul Society, Lifeline, Red Cross, Oxfam and World Vision are just a small fraction of the charities out there that you may wish to donate to.
So how about making a difference to the lives of others this Christmas and give a gift that will help somebody less fortunate?
Will you be giving a charitable gift this festive season?
