Stuart Zullo It’s time to clean out your house and get ready for Liverpool’s biggest garage sale – the Garage Sale Trail.
Taking place on Saturday May 5, the Garage Sale Trail is a hyper local event that takes place on a national scale. Everybody in Liverpool is encouraged to take part in the event and hold their own garage sale, and there’s no excuse not to, as it’s completely free to register and it includes advertising.
Local residents who take part will be able to benefit from advertising on both the Garage Sale Trail website and the Liverpool City Council website and the council will also be running TV commercials and newspaper ads.
Even if you only have a couple of things you want to sell, it’s still worth taking part in the Garage Sale Trail. Just set up a table out the front of your home and invite people you know using Facebook or Twitter.
The Garage Sale Trail will be just as beneficial to sellers as it will be for buyers. There’s bound to be plenty of rare and unique finds around the place and lots of bargain prices.
Liverpool residents will be able to search for garage sales using the Garage Sale Trail website, the Liverpool Council website and on www.truelocal.com.au on the day using a mobile device.
The Garage Sale Trail may be a national event, but it’s really all about the local community and it should provide for a fun (and hopefully profitable) day for many Liverpool locals whether they’re looking to buy or sell – plus it’s a great way of teaching us all how we can be a little more sustainable.
