Daffodil Day is coming up soon, which is one of the Cancer Council’s biggest and most recognised annual fundraising events.
This year, Daffodil Day will be taking place on Friday 24th August and Liverpool residents are invited to help the Daffodil Day cause by either helping with fundraising or buying a daffodil.
A shocking statistic reveals that on average more than 100 Australians will die of cancer every day. Cancer affects the lives of many Australians, and fundraising events like Daffodil Day help give hope to cancer sufferers and their loved ones, and they hopefully also help bring the world a little bit closer to finding a cure.
This year, it is hoped that Daffodil Day and its associated events will help raise over $9.2 million to help the Cancer Council continue their cancer control initiatives, patient support and research services.
You can help the Cancer Council reach their goal this year by visiting daffodilday.com.au and buying Daffodil Day merchandise, which will be available all throughout August. There will also be plenty of daffodils around the Liverpool on Daffodil Day, so if you have the time and want to help out, then buy a daffodil and help show your support for this extremely important cause.
