The Liverpool City Council is currently asking the Liverpool community to nominate local community achievers for the 2013 Australia Day Awards.
The awards are held every year to help recognise individuals, groups and organisations in Liverpool for their dedication and contributions in areas such as sports, recreations, cultural pursuits, the arts, community services, education and other services.
The Australia Day Awards are a real opportunity to thank those special people in Liverpool who help make this part of the world such a great place for us all to live in.
Surely we all know somebody who should be rewarded for their achievements, and there are a number of categories they can be nominated in, including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Fraser Environment Award and Sports Award.
You can download an Australia Day Awards nomination form from the Liverpool City Council website.
Liverpool residents have until 4pm on Friday October 12 2012 to send their forms in, so there’s plenty of time to think about who you think is worthy of a nomination.
Good luck to everyone nominated for this year’s Australia Day Awards and we’re looking forward to hearing who our local Citizen of the Year is!
