Liverpool’s days are about to get longer when daylight savings time begins on October 7.
All local residents are being reminded that they will need to turn their clocks forward by one hour this Sunday October 7 at 2am.
In Australia, daylight savings time is observed in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory. So if you plan on travelling to Queensland, the Northern Territory or Western Australia then you will need to remember to wind your clocks back. It’s also important to remember the time difference if you are calling friends or work colleagues in different states.
Daylight savings time will be observed until Sunday April 7 in 2013, when everyone will need to remember to change their clocks back again.
Hopefully everyone in Liverpool remembers to change their clocks on October 7, as there is normally a few that forget and it can lead to confusion over meetings times.
We would love to hear people’s daylight savings stories – have you ever missed an appointment because of daylight time confusion?
