When you’re heading to work this Friday, September 6, there’s no need to dress down. In fact, our team at Professionals Paradise Realty want to encourage all women from Liverpool to put on their favourite LBD (little black dress) and help support women facing disadvantage entering the workforce.
Fitted for Work is a not-for-profit organisation helping disadvantaged women achieve their financial and career goals by supplying them with interview-appropriate clothing, return to work training programs and ongoing mentorship. This affects thousands of women across Australia of all ages. The program is run mainly by volunteers and is the first of its kind in the country. And it’s successful too – the Fitted for Work organisation has successfully helped 75% of women who have secured employment within three months of being dressed and mentored by this wonderful organisation (more than 12,500 women since 2005 in total).
Little Black Dress Day is Fitted for Work’s major fundraiser, and is likely to be supported this Friday by women from all walks of life. You’ll see celebrities, television presenters, females politicians, CEOs, and hopefully a number of women in your own workplace donning a LBD in support of the work Fitted for Work put in to help all women in Australia find their way back into the workforce.
To make your donation to Fitted for Work, please had over to https://littleblackdressday.com.au, and make your donation now. If you haven’t got a suitable little black dress, the Little Black Dress Day website has a gorgeous David Lawrence for sale, and all profits made go directly to this great cause.
