Now that the weather has cooled down, there’s no better time to turn the kettle on and enjoy a nice, warm cup of tea with friends – and you can help support a great charity at the same time.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea takes place throughout May and June (with the official date being this Thursday 22nd May) and everyone in the Liverpool community is being encouraged to hold their own morning tea to help raise vital funds for the Cancer Council and their work into cancer research, support and prevention.
There are a variety of ways you can get involved with Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. You could hold a morning tea at your school or work, or you can just invite over your nearest and dearest friends for a quiet “cuppa” at home. If tea isn’t your “cup of tea”, you could hold a dinner event instead, or maybe a raffle, bake-off or auction.
It doesn’t matter how you decide to raise funds, what matters is that you are helping to make a valuable contribution towards the Cancer Council and the important work that they do.
Hopefully there are lots of Morning Tea events held in Liverpool this year, and if you’re interested in hosting your own event, or donating directly to the Cancer Council, then you can find more information at www.biggestmorningtea.com.au.
