There’s little doubt that Liverpool is growing in popularity and is fast becoming “the” place to be, and we’re not the only ones who seem to think so.
Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun recently spoke to the Liverpool Champion and stated that Liverpool is on its way to becoming a “cool vibrant city”.
So what makes Liverpool so cool?
There are plenty of exciting things happening in Liverpool at the moment. There are currently 10 high-rise apartment complexes in development, with one of them being the new Solis on the Hume Highway, which is set to be Liverpool’s tallest building at 14-storeys high.
There are also plans to revitalise the Liverpool CBD and create a lively café strip and better connections between the city’s main hubs and its recreational spaces.
Liverpool has also gained extra “hip” factor thanks to the new Liverpool Night Markets, which were a huge success on their opening night at the start of May.
Some believe that Liverpool is emerging as the capital of Sydney’s south-west, and with plenty of new projects in the works for the local region, particularly infrastructure surrounding the Badgerys Creek airport, it looks like Liverpool will keep growing in popularity in the years to come.
As Liverpool locals, we’ve always thought that Liverpool was a cool place to be, and we certainty wouldn’t want to live or work anywhere else.
What do you think? Is Liverpool a cool city?
