This year marks 20 years since the first Jeans for Genes Day, and organisers have been busily working on their biggest campaign yet. On Friday the 2nd of August people from Liverpool and across the whole nation will be dressing in denim to raise much needed awareness and funds for research into birth defects and diseases.
We’d love our Liverpool community to throw their support behind this incredibly worthy cause. When you consider that 1 in 20 children is born with a congenital abnormality or genetic disease, which equates to over 12,000 children born in Australia each year, the work of the Children’s Medical Research Institute is in need of huge support. When you support Jeans for Genes you are helping unravel cures for future generations of children.
The organisers of Jeans for Genes Day have made getting involved this year easier than ever before. The size and value of merchandise kits have been reduced to make them easier to sell, and they will be sent to you for free. Or, if you’re too busy to sell Jeans for Genes Day merchandise you can simply collect donations.
